You are discounting that sometime a yes identifies as a proton. You see, you only want unity if it fits your world view.

You can't have something without nothing, and you can't have nothing without something.

In line with CelticDog's post, there is a definite parallel in the ideas of binary numbers and yin/yang.

I'll quote an anecdote from the history of the I Ching in a book I have... My I Ching book is written by Kerson Huang (a physicist), and his take-- undoubtedly influenced by his being a scientist-- is to strip away the layers of excessive moralizing applied to the system to some extent by the Taoists, but moreso by the Confucians. Huang still regards it an Oracle of sorts, but refrains from stepping too far out onto any metaphysical branch.

Leibniz, the mathematician who shares with Newton the credit for the creation of calculus, was thinking about binary integers when he came across the I Ching in 1689. The Jesuit priest Bouvet had sent him a copy from China, with a list of the hexagrams in the Fuxi order and a segregation diagram. Leibniz instantly recognized the hexagram symbols as none other than binary representations of the sixty-four integers from 0 to 63, with Earth being 0 and Heaven 63. This anecdote instantly came to mind as I read your OP. So, there is a definite history of others sharing your opinion of the binary underpinnings of creation.

Interestingly, Carl Jung found the I Ching a useful tool in treating patients as well, constantly providing uncannily appropriate responses to queries, which helped move things forward.

When opposing forcing come together like interlocking puzzle pieces, true existence is born.

Balance is achieved.
