I agree but it still does not change the the basic premise of the statement, and that both creationist and those who claim to be scientists can be boxed into what others veiw to be a foolish assumption

Tough crowd tonight for Bill Nye

pretty much
nye's presentation and organization was absolutely horrible. both relied upon trying to attack random minutia of the other theory instead of supporting their own theory.

It's Kentucky. If it's not jokes about sister ficking or basketball. They don't understand

I'm thinking Ham has a bit of a home field advantage

he did a terrible job

I was talking about his joke, not his argument.

At least Nye is directly addressing some of the things he's said tonight.
Posted on 2/4/14 at 7:27 pm to SlowFlowPro
both arguments were terrible. not the content but the delivery and picking of what to use.
i dont follow either of these two but they both seemed poorly prepared for their "competition"

Nye went way too far into specific examples for a crowd that doesn't understand shite about science.

Did he just say that the ark was real and they have built 1/3rd of the ark to scale?
Posted on 2/4/14 at 7:32 pm to Patron Saint
So.....by a show of hands who votes for the 6,000 year Earth?
Posted on 2/4/14 at 7:34 pm to Deactived
Nye trying to argue that the ark couldn't be built seems kind of irrelevant.

Ham keeps bringing it up, which makes it relevant to the debate.

Agreed. Could have chosen a better point of argument

Ridiculous argument, still doesn't change the fact that the Universe was created by a higher being, the alternative is really not even scientifically defensible.

I didn't make the argument against a higher being.
