Jello pudding pops will never come back now.

Pretty sure that's wrong, right?
Wasn't there one or two that were possibly underage? That would make there be no statute of limitations, right?

Or maybe he just convinced himself that it wasn't happening, just as a coping mechanism.

Correct. One previously sued and settled. Another one just recently filed suit against Cosby and Hef. She was underage and raped at the playboy mansion.

What is sad is that people will completely forget about Sandusky, but will remember JoePa
My point isn't that JoePa performed the acts. It had to do with a beloved public figure taking a fall.
Sandusky was not even known outside PSU.

About the only thing without a SOL is murder. They have changed in some states regarding the time limits in the last couple decades for literal child abuse/rape, talking toddlers and elementary school age at time of abuse, not teens and up though. Vast differences in ability to understand and communicate between teens and toddlers is the reasoning. (Several states only changed the SOL in regards to the civil, the criminal remains 3-5-7=10 years depending on the state)

He seems to have liked white women.
It seems we all have one thing in common with that low life. #monstersdoexist

From a model who was apparently at least 20 years old:
I'm not saying all of this is bullshite, but some of these women seem to be embellishing just a tad. What 20-something year old who has been all over the country and world modeling doesn't even know what "orgasm" means?
quote:
He changed his tone and said "I'll give you the biggest orgasm you've
ever had!" I didn't even know what that meant at the time. Bill then yelled
"You're never going to make it in this business unless you sleep with me!" I
responded "Shame on you Mr. Father Figure of America! Your kids are older than
I am! You just messed with one of God's children and you're in big trouble mister!
I want a flight out of here right now!"

100% agree with this. Once he found out and didn't do everything in his power to stop it, to me he is just as guilty because he allowed it to continue.

At the very least I think the SOL should not exist for children that are molested. Hell even to early teens. Kids that age cannot communicate what was done to them, usually due to confusion and also out of fear. It's not until they get older, and are messed up mentally that they can address it. And sadly, the more time that passes, the harder it is to speak about it. Thus causing more issues. It's a sad and vicious cycle.

In most states, doesn't the SOL regarding child predation / assault only begin once the victim turns 18?
In other words, if the assault happens when the victim is 8, and the SOL is 10 years, the perp can effectively be prosecuted up to 2 decades after the crime is committed.
That's how it should be everywhere, if it isn't already.

The more time passes, the more difficult to get a conviction. This Cosby stuff is a prime example. Then there's the issue of no physical evidence if waiting, a lot of times, even more than hours (bleach, fire, etc. goes a long way to destruction of evidence not to mention victim showering profusely). Without the physical evidence it becomes "she said, he said". Too many false claims to convict based on that. Who knows how many of these 50+ are just piling on looking for a payday of some sort (the fame they never got/maintained)and how many are real?

I understand that and that the longer time goes on the harder it is to prove. Was just explaining why a younger person usually doesn't say anything. A lot of times they're made to feel like they did something wrong. And you if it's not shared it gets pushed deeper and deeper in the conscious mind, but does so much more damage to the unconscious mind. It usually takes a lot or something significant to finally address it. Was talking in general and not just to the ones with Cosby.
