I like how they made it by 2026 so the next administration (obviously Republican after this shitshow) can be the "bad guys" that kill these rules, because they're unattainable and delusional to begin with.

We aren't even close to having every vehicle hit 40mpg, the vast majority are barely in the high 20s and low 30s. We won't get that far in 4 years either, and they know this

Biden may not make a second term, but the next 8 presidents will be Ds. Sucks but it's true.

I really believe he is this dumb, but his advisory staff let’s him announce this stupidity? Was about to add, “hard to believe”, but with current policies, this is just another for the list of misguided issues.

Why don't the car manufacturers tell the Biden administration that the massive truck identifies as a hybrid that gets 350 mpg. Seems like that is a good plan considering they are a bunch of mean bigots if they question how that vehicle identifies.

Respectfully disagree. It's just not the way politicians in DC can sustain the patterns which ensure they have their jobs for more than a cycle or two. There is a reason there are term limits on POTUS and no one else.

Tyrants don’t concern themselves with the opinion of the people, especially since they’ve figured out a way to cheat elections. Every single bit of this however hinges upon the ignorant masses, and their numbers are increasing, not decreasing.

You’ve got to be a Grade A moron to think this is remotely feasible or even a good idea in any shape, form, or fashion.

Or in other words, you have to be a Democrat.

Progressives have long realized they cannot usher in their Marxist utopia without first collapsing the current system. All that is happening is by design and for that purpose.

Then when truck prices are unaffordable all you will here is that the president doesn’t control the price of trucks

I wonder if all the folks pushing this in the name of the environment realize how bad we're going to frick the earth mining the millions of tons of precious metals and lithium this will require. (or do they really not care and just pandering to a different group of businesses ?)

They don't really care about the Earth. It's all about their bank accounts. They are forcing us to buy shite they're already invested in.

I don’t see the issue with this. Unless you’re an oil rig baw that hates people not having to fill up multiple times a week at $4 a gallon

It must really hurt to see how shitty the policy you support is in practice.

Of course thry don’t realize. You see, you and I live in the real world based on things like logic, facts, and common sense. Leftists live in a imaginary world of delusion, ignorance, and pure fantasy.

We’ll never understand them nor will they understand us. We live in two entirely separate realities.

Guarantee the technology is out there for this but the oil companies bought the patents for it so it doesn’t get developed.

That has literally happened multiple times throughout history
