To continue the examples of how unbelievably crappy this parish is...called for 20 minutes and got a busy signal because the online payment system wouldn’t work. Finally got through and she explained some little detail I was doing wrong that you would have no way of knowing and of course no instructions to help.
Finally get online payment to work and they charge a $12.95 convenience fee. Ridiculous.
Then to top it all off I get a letter yesterday saying that I didn’t pay and I owe another $150 or I’ll have my license suspended.
I call these backward yahoos again and she says immediately, “oh, it’s paid, we will run this up to the DA’s office today.”
RUN?!? Do they not have computers in this sorry excuse for a parish?
This place is a joke and an embarrassment to the state...and trust me I know what I massive claim that is...

My parents grew up in Evangeline and St Landry and all our family still lives there so I visit frequently.
Got a tint ticket there a few years ago that was $375. They wrote a separate violation for every window. Total bullshite.

At least they threw us a bone and made it 75 on that stretch of 49 but the speed limit on the interstate outside of cities should be at least 80. 80 isn’t that fast and most people are doing 80 anyways.
