Do HMON and HWRF keep it a TS the whole time? Can't really look right now.
MON yes just a TS, WRF gets to min hurricane but buries in southern Texas.
This shouldn't really down SSTs much being weak, Cosmo.
ETA: Both the Euro and GFS paint quite the heavy rain threat for coastal Texas though. That will absolutely need monitoring.

GFS spinning up a TS in the northern Caribbean Oct 1.
Also has Teddy hitting Canada at 952 mb. Has a hurricane ever made it that far north with that kind of strength?

For a tropical storm it looks pretty healthy and actually more organized than Sally at this point

That'll kick out a tropical system quick enough right there. Hopefully it's inland when it gets that kick. There's something else worth noticing here too...
The Euro remains an a-hole on the colder air but that blue bit over Texas should slide our way. Not nearly as glorious as the GFS though.

I was wondering if the overcast in BR is wildfire smoke, but looking at the radar loop on pg 1 it's pretty clear that is outflow clouds.

Been out for a while. I’m going to need to add “Unfunny Beta jokes” to the bingo board, aren’t I?

I believe Frankie MacDonald lives on Nova Scotia. He’s going to be extra excited to have a hurricane bearing down on him.

Yeah people shouldnt really worry much about its designation as a storm at this point unless somehow it really blows up which is seemingly doubtful. The fact that tropical moisture may hug the coast for days is troubling.
