$50 for a white elephant would be so much fun.
I wish more people would want to partake in white elephant gifts for $50

I never adhere to limits.
I like gift giving far too much to try to stress myself to find something that's not shite for $25 or whatever.
At my company, we do Secret Santa and so far each year, I've gotten people I genuinely like and want to give nice things to.

Hey baw, I gave a couple of Hebert's stuffed chicken's (shrimp dressing) in a styrofoam ice chest a few years ago and everyone got a laugh out of it,
Why was it funny to some people? I would have liked those as a gift.

That’s actually a great idea

I've done those for several misc. gifts as well. People seem to really like them.

Liquor and wine is so lazy for gift exchanges.
I default to a nice decanter

I gave two live lobsters in a styrofoam ice chest. I tried to steal it back.

We used to do white elephant with family, but too many people were getting upset with not getting something good. Now, we just do secret santa.
White elephant is always supposed to be more about the fun and experience than the actual gifts you receive. I never really cared what I ended up with as my gift.

I don't think anyone has a major issue playing the gag gift game generally speaking if they know it's that beforehand.
I think just too many families/circles call any gift swapping game "white elephant" for some reason, so you have to specify.
We did serious gifts in my family, but we never called it white elephant. We always just called it "The Game". I was intrigued by it growing up since the adults would get rowdy with the stealing. We didn't have a steal limit so the game could go for 3-4 hours if people were drunk.

People who get butt hurt bc they didn’t get their little treat during White Elephant are truly the worst
If you liked the gift that much go buy one yourself it’s $50 Jfc.

Last year I bought 6 of them from Wal Mart online for like $15 each. This year Amaong has them for like $60 but places like AllieExpress and Temu still have them under $20

Well, this post is for you.
Our company always did white elephant Christmas parties. The women loved it and would talk about constantly the week of the party. We probably had well over 60% women working for the company. The gift limit was $50 and including dates/spouses there would be roughly 150+ people in attendance.
For years, I would buy the normal gift, but I couldn't stop thinking about how crazy it would be to slip a wild gift under the tree one year.
Finally, I figured out a way to pull it off and most importantly, remain 100% anonymous.
The next Christmas party, I was ready. On my way to the party, I stopped by HUSTLER and bought a BIG arse dildo in the 14"-15" range. I also had with me, a large old school paper grocery bag, a very classy bow & elegant wrapping paper, and a box - similar to a shoe box but a little longer. If you saw this gift wrapped under the tree, you would jump on it!
I walk into the party with the gift perfectly hidden in the bag. i make some small talk to a few folks, all the while i was really keeping an eye for the crowd near the tree area to clear. Thankfully there were a ton of gifts already under the tree and extending out 4-5' around it. I got over there, and knelt down as though I was texting someone as i was getting the gift out the bag. I had it placed in the perfect spot for it to be seen - but not over doing it.
About 2 hours later, the white elephant fun got started.
Out of roughly 70 gifts around the tree, mine was the 3rd one picked. The lucky lady that picked it was the CEO's secretary - the "gate keeper". She's hot, mid-40's, and not married. You would have thought there were keys to a new Lexus in that box. All I'm going to say is these ladies had enough drinks in them to not give a frick. The gift got stolen more times than i can remember and ended up with one of the girls in accounting.
Talk about fun!
