I realized this weekend while looking for something to wear during snowpocalypse that my non-work clothing inventory has become quite depleted. Side note-I'll never buy another pair of old navy jeans, even if they are just for the weekend. They are garbage.

What I'm looking for are some pretty casual but durable chino type pants that can handle everything on the weekend, but still be pretty lightweight, and maybe could not look like a clown wearing them out to eat.

Suggestions?

I've got some Daniel Cremiuexs on right now that are pretty comfy and have held up to going to job sites n some less than favorable conditions.

what do you mean durable? What are you doing on weekends, crawling through border tunnels?

The best non-expensive chinos out there right now are the J Crew 770's or Ludlow (more dressy). "Slim" and "Stretch" fit both have a nice fit to them.

In general, J Crew has good pants and t-shirts. Their sport shirts suck though.

These last well - and they come in odd numbered waist sizes (at least 33 & 35 anyway)

Peter Millar Super 100s Flat-Front Trouser are the way to go. Extremely comfortable and great quality.

No shite. They are the bottom of the 3-tier company. Slightly better from that group is the GAP, with Banana Republic being the premium brand.
