Best way to sell a pricier used vehicle?

Getting rid of a 2013 Chevy Tahoe LT that has a retail value of $35,000.00+ on NADA. It seems like craigslist is for lower value cars and there are lots of scammers. How would you sell this car?

Are you getting another car? Trading may be the best option because of the tax savings on the new car. If not you can try carmax. Also my buddy has had good luck selling several cars in this price range on eBay.

I'm dealing with a similar problem right now. Trying to sell an expensive car in a small economy like Shreveport has proven difficult. I put mine on cars.com but there are a thousand other 2013 Tahoes on there at dealerships with financing departments and extended warranties for sale.
I hate to say this but I'm leaning toward trading mine in. I've gotten solid offers and with the tax savings of ~$3,000 it makes it a no brainer unless someone comes along with cash and pays full blue book value.

I have had great luck with Carmax.

Lower your price and post it on a few sites. There are plenty of vehicles exactly like yours for sale. You've got to stand out

2013 LT Tahoe... Pricier.

It took me 3 months to sell a 4Runner at $18k a few years ago by posting on local sites. Posted on EBay and sold in a week for $600 off of list price.

As a previous owner of a higher model 2012, good luck with that

I just tried to trade in my 2013 F-150, which has a Blue Book Value of $35K trade in- The best the dealership offered me was $31.2K. Be prepared for low ball offers like that.

How much do you owe on it?

I haven't sold cars on it, but cargurus.com is where I found the last 4 cars I bought, both new and used.

If that's dealer retail, you shouldn't expect that in a private party sale. If you post on eBay, make sure you take very good pictures including any defects etc so the buyer feels comfortable buying long distance. Look at a few other posts and you will be able to tell what works and what doesn't. i.e., posting one picture taken on a cloudy day isn't going to maximize value.
I've also had good luck with Carmax, but, on a friend's advice, I actually sold my last car to one of those shady looking car lots in Houston. They beat Carmax and the other big local used car buyer by $2k on a $12k vehicle. I didn't feel like dealing with private parties, test drives, etc, so I was happy with the result.

I already bought a new truck. I will look at eBay or cars.com. Car max offered $27,000 and they are selling the same vehicle at $35,000. There are lots of older Tahoes for sale but not that many with lower miles. 42,000

are you planning on buying a new one or just selling this one?

Your not going to get much more out of a POS Tahoe. There are thousands of them for sale and no way will you get full retail in a private party transaction.
