Anyone have any suggestions, what's worked better than anything you've tried? Have major flea problem right now with pets and it's coming from our dog!

1) Treat the dog, your vet can recommend the best stuff. There are oral and topical treatments that work.

2) Treat the yard with Talstar.

Boob your house. 3 weeks later do it again. Then 3 weeks later again.

Ultra quick solution is wash the dog vigorously with Dawn dishwashing liquid. You can powder down your carpets w Sevin dust and vacuum after.

Then prevent with whatever else you want to do re: pills or topical.

Step1: give your dog a bath
Step2: give the other pets a bath or take them to the vet for a flea dip
Step3: set off a flea bomb in the house if they are in there
Step4: buy some flea medicine for your dog you cheap a-hole.

We just found a few fleas on our dogs. My dogs never had fleas before and now all the sudden both are covered. We treated them with Frontline plus. Gonna have to see about spraying the yard, but with the cooler weather shouldn't they be gone?

Frontline and Advantage both kill fleas in the environment so you might not need to treat the yard or bomb the house.

If the dog gets on your bed, wash the bedding. The wash will drown the fleas and the dryer will kill any surviving eggs.

Don't use Frontline/Advantage on a regular basis. Fleas will build up a tolerance to it. Use them when fleas show up and switch back and forth.

This right here.

I'm pretty sure Frontline and anything topical just makes the fleas stronger. It's never worked on either my dog or cat.
