Get a steroid shot as soon as you get the first hint of PI...even if youve had one within the past 3 months, go to another place that will give it to you. I have yet to find a paste that will actually really help and ive tried them all. I might be an extreeme case but ive never had a Dr that hadnt said I have the worst PI theyve ever seen. Usually when I get it, it blisters and oozes by day 3 without scratching and have to use neosporin and gause pads to cover it or it will bleed through my clothes..... bad thing is is I love to turkey hunt in the spring but good news is that im not allergic to mosquitos!

Tecnu, the day of exposure. Even applied the next day, Tecnu will get rid of the oils still on your skin.

After that, the old fashioned ugly-as-sin calomine lotion.

When one spot just won't stop itching, ice cubes (or even that wonder of nature) an unopened soft package of frozen peas.

Get the shot

If you can’t do that immediately, white shoe polish will dry it out

Battery Acid, preferably deep cycle. Really takes your mind off the itch and the rash melts away.

I had a break out like on a Sunday. The next day we were mixing cement and the cement dried it out better than any medicine I’ve ever used. I wouldn’t mix a sack for it though. Just an FYI

Tecnu Extreme

Scrub it gently with warm water 2-3 times a day.

Immunity.

But the guy who said cortisone is correct.

Witch hazel is a good precursor to the cortisone.

For whatever reason, I’ve never been susceptible to the poison plants (ivy/oak/sumac). I’ve had tons of exposure to each and have never had the slightest bit of skin irritation as a result.

Hope you feel better.

Soak a cotton ball with grain alcohol and repeatedly rub it over the rash several times per day. I was severely allergic as a child and this was a remedy that my grandfather used. I tried all of the lotions and ointments but this will dry it up the fastest guaranteed.

Scratch the crap out of it with a dry washcloth then poor bleach on it. Will burn like fire for about 2 minutes then dry up and won’t itch again. Completely healed in 2 days.

Heat will help with the itching. Someone mentioned a hot shower, but you can also use a blow dryer. You can feel the relief. I do this to mosquito bites too. Stops the itch for hours.

Run the hottest water on it that you can tolerate.
