Flonase seriously changed my life last year.
I tried Flonase twice, and both times I lost my sense of taste for 2 weeks
I just Neti Pot and saline like crazy.

Allergies along with RSV kicked my arse over the last 4 weeks. I can thank my kids for that. I took Delsyum, NyQuil, Zyrtec, Tylenol sinus, equate brand sinus, and Afrin nasal. Afrin worked pretty good but I think I will try Flonase based on other posters responses next time. Been getting allergy shots once a week for the last 3 years and was not expecting to be this miserable.

Rhinocort was the best one I ever took. However, my insurance won't cover it.

Heroin. You'll be so high you'll forget all about your allergies

That clears up the sinuses.

I did this last year, forgot all about. Definitely switching back to that.

It's a very off-label use, but NO2 Black by MRI.

No, it's not an allergy medicine; it's an arginine based bodybuilding supplement. I used it as a workout supplement a few years ago and noticed it alleviated my hay fever. I buy a big bottle every spring now once I notice symptoms starting to flare up. Within a day or so, symptoms are gone. No medicine head or other side effects... actually, I respond well to it and generally feel better and more energized.
A couple years ago, I gave a dozen or so pills to two people I know who were complaining about hay fever and they both said they thought it lessened their symptoms. Neither continued using it long term, for whatever reason-- I think because they didn't want to shell out $40 and they were comfortable sticking with Claritin out of habit. So, I don't know if it would work for them long term as well as it does for me, but if you're not content with most of the OTC medicines, which I'm not, it might be worth a $40 gamble.

... and if you do give it a try, I'd suggest just one pill the first day, then work your way up to 2-3 pills. Shouldn't need more than that. (If you're using it as directed for working out, label suggests 3-4 pills morning & 3-4 at night.)

saline rinse
cayenne pepper
peppermint herbal tea
