That's easy. A meat thermometer. Don't know why the hell it took me so long to get one. Best purchase ever.

Bought an inverter that converts deWalt standard battery power to 120 volt ac for emergency power. house medical equipment needs an alternate 120 volt power source for short duration outages of about 8 amps. 30 buck inverter, uses my shop deWalt batteries.

what's not to like?

You know people from Aliceville? I have family who I hunt with there.
Many, many years ago I knew of a prominent family from there that also owned an oil company, gas stations and truck stops etc. Unfortunately, the person I knew has passed.

I did a lot of that for work back in the day. My next job was Microsoft Access. I liked that a lot better.

Bought a hot dog steamer for a tailgate about 12 years ago for 25 bucks. Still works and always make chili dogs with day old chili in the winter. It's awesome.

a cheap backscratcher, probably $15. I use it to scratch my balls though and it works great!

Kreg rip jig. Attaches to a circular saw, and makes breaking down plywood and panels so much easier. Absurdly useful.

I quickly went from dBase to Clipper, which had a compiler and was much faster since you ran an .exe instead of a .prg. Access was an improvement, but frustratingly slow, I went to Foxbase and stayed there for a while. Going to OOP instead of top-down was great for the database world.

Lotus had Approach, which was great to show non-coding programming to some people who wanted to do there own apps.

A DR Premier 22” trimmer mower. I walked into Tractor Supply one anfternoon, and it was on clearance for $50. The lady said it was on clearance because they couldn’t get cranked. After installing a $12 carburetor from Amazon and works like a top. Brand new they run $500
