Cortizone shot is the only real cure

I just wash 3 times with dawn on my body parts that may have come in contact with it and I never get it.

If you get too close go take a shower immediately or wash affected area with soap and water ASAP

Zanfel. If it doesn't work after two applications, then you need a steroid shot.

Dawn dish soap cuts oil, you get itchy from the oil on the leaves.

Zanfel is the only post exposure medicine/cream/scrub that works.

I'll ask him what that is too. 2-4D maybe?

If you think you've been around it then shower with dawn soap to remove the oil. Do not shower or bath in hot water if it has broken out! I prefer the Tecnu brand of products. Last resort is a steroid shot in the arse! God speed!

Watch the videos on Youtube about it, but I'll give you the cliff's notes.
What makes your skin break out and itch is an oil that sticks to your skin when you're messing with it. The best thing to do is to use some oil cutting dish soap, and friction. It's not so much about the amount of soap you use as it is the friction you use to scrub that oil off.
If you do this in a timely manner after messing with it, you should be ok. And watch what you touch too. Don't forget that your hands with all that poison ivy on it touches the doorknob. Or the rake, or the shovel, or the garbage can, etc.

I am super allergic and when I get it I go to the doctor and get:
1) A steroid shot.
2 RX of prednisone steroid for 7 to 10 days
3) RX of Triamcinlone Acetonide cream for the rashes
4) I take antihistamine like Clariton once a day
NOTHING ELSE EVER WORKED FOR ME BUT THIS.
I tried all the home remedies and they only bring temp relief.
