Cities, towns, resorts, hotels, restaurants, etc? Any advice would be appreciated. Wife and I will be there for a few days and neither of us have ever been to CO. TIA

assume you are flying into Denver and renting a car?....
tell me a little about what the two of you like to do...i.e. arts, wildlife, hiking, etc....

We went to Winter Park in February and had a blast. Of course that was to ski and smoke weed though

I don't ski. We are down for some outdoors stuff but not any hardcore climbing.

My reccomendations would be as follows:
fly into Denver
stay in LoDo and walk to some brewpubs
eat at the Denver Chop House
see a colorado rockies game in Coors field
Attend a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatere
Check out the Denver Zoo
Get a car and head up to Steamboat Springs for a day and a night
spend a day or two at Estes Park viewing wildlife
Drive down to colorado springs to tour the air force academy
go to golden, co to tour the coors brewery (and sample some)
go to durango and take the narrow gauge railroad train to silverton and back
you are going at a perfect time to see the aspens in fall foliage...you obviously won't have time to do all of this, but these are my favorite things to do in colorado...if you need to know where to stay, just let me know.

Telluride is one of the coolest mountain towns in the world. Research it.

Just got back from beaver creek. Stayed at the pines lodge. Really nice. It's about 20 minutes from vail if u want to visit there

I love Telluride. We went skiing there but I am not a big skier. We spent 5 days or so there and I only skied for one day. The rest of the time I just kept strolling into town and walking around. It was beautiful and I imagine it would be so any time of year.

Vail is terrible. The most overrated town in CO. The entire town is situated directly off the interstate. plus everyone in Denver vacations there. You would have a much better time in Aspen. My family has a house there. we love it. you will too.

I thought vail was overrated as well.

People from Denver go all over the state, not just Vail. Vail has a large diverse ski area that gets a good bit of snow usually, that is the draw of Vail. The little city isn't the draw, the ski mountain is and for skiing it's fantastic.
Op, Colorado isn't a big state but going anywhere in the mtns off of 70 takes time. The aspens will be turning when you're here and elevations above 10,000' will be starting to get snow.
