Best place to get a new mattress without getting ripped off?

I have a 15-year-old TempurPedic. I love it, but it is time to replace.
Mattresses are a racket. What's the way to go?
If online, give me a couple good brands.

Define getting ripped off?
Markup is huge anywhere you go. Focus on quality.

Amazon, Classic Brands Cool Gel. Read the reviews, went with these when we rebuilt after Harvey, love them so far, can't beat the price.

If you want to buy from store, v watts in Livingston worth the drive. Employees do not work on commission.

Which is why I suggested a local, custom mattress mfg. that will make your bed to your specs.
Our guest bed has a 10 year old mattress from them and everyone that sleeps on it complements the mattress and asks where we got it.
All for half the price of these national bed in a box brands.

Sams Club or costco. The 72 month mattresses at mattress stores are $500 there.

I see mattresses lying on the curb quite frequently in some areas of town. Some of them look comfy enough.

Yeah, mine is legit. And if you want them to adjust it after you buy it, you can take it back to them for free.

Curious to see what your responses are. Heard great things about Casper, Tuft and Needle, Purple, and Leesa.
