My wife bought some cargo pants the other day. Said they were back in style. So based on that, I recommend allthatfades recheck the top shelf in his closet and dust those old cargo shorts off. We all have a pair or two those somewhere.

If you’re looking for affordable and decent looking go to Belk and get some crown and ivy shorts which are basically imitation Peter millar shorts, but don’t cost an arm a leg and your firstborn child

I don’t know about “the best” but, I wear the piss out of the 7” inseam IZOD saltwater stretch flat fronts from Kohls.
