I recently got rear ended by someone literally FaceTiming while driving lol Wasn’t funny at the time obviously but completely totaled my truck and boat I was pulling

Onward. I just bought a new Ram 1500 limited. I only specify that because the interior is fairly nice and want covers that don’t take away from that. I haven’t had leather seats in 20+ years and have two small kids. Just wondering if there’s anything out there decent looking that works well with the heat/cooling. Thanks

Hoping the only options aren’t outrageous

I had a set of these a few years ago. They were kind of a pain to install, but the fit was excellent. I didn't have heated/cooled seats back then so I can't speak to how well they'll work.

Why'd you get the good interior just to cover it up?

I wouldn’t spend the money for nice leather with cooter coolers to just cover them.

I've had Marathon seat covers for the last seven years. They're not cheap and take a few minutes to install but they fit great, are extremely durable and repel liquids.

I don't have heated/cooled seats, but check out PRP Seats. I purchased a set for our Jeep. I actually designed them online and they made them. It took 5 weeks to arrive. They are the closest thing to OEM seats that you'll find.

Man, how hard did they hit you to total a truck and a boat?

I was easing into a right hand turn into a marina. Was going 3-5moh max. So might as well say at a stop. It was the foot of a bridge in Brunswick, Ga. The speed limit was 55 but we guessed she was probably going 65-70

She launched my 17ft scout up onto the back of my truck and my 115hp Suzuki was about 15-20 ft from the boat. If you can believe it, she was in a Jeep Wrangler

There’s probably no good reason to post this, but whatever I guess. Her and the cop who wrote up the accident were both people of color and it kind of irritated me that she wasnt even ticketed. On the report he wrote “too fast for conditions” and “distracted driving” as the cause. But she received no actual citations

She had a CDL so I tell myself he was just trying not to affect her employment on top of everything else. Her insurance is accepting liability so it doesn’t really affect me. But I have to think there’s a chance she would learn better from being so stupid if there were more consequences

I like alot of the bells and whistles but have never been a big fan of leather. I’d like to keep this truck 10+ years or so and just don’t like the eventual creases, wear, and patina fade that always comes with leather

I assume the objective for people with money is to always trade just before it gets to that point

Been looking into this as well.

Same here with a new Ram. Hate the black interior. It’s so fricking hot. Easily 15-20F hotter than the light tan interior I had before.

I wanted to get some lighter color covers but I don’t think there’s any option that is going to allow the cooling seats to still work. They may say they will, but I seriously doubt they actually still allow the cooling to work at all.

Yeah my totaled Ram was silver with fabric seats. The new one is black on black. Where I park at my office it’s 70% covered during the day, but it’s absolutely incredible how fricking hot it is inside at 5 o’clock. I have to drop all the windows and open the rear and panoramic for 10min before I even get in and crank the A/C

Why not just wipe them down when needed? I’ve had leather seats since our boy was a toddler and it was never an issue. You have to remove car seats and boosters to wipe them down every now and then even if you have seat covers.

Wait until you figure out that you can use the remote start feature and walk out to a cool truck at 5pm
