The wife and I thought so too but there is apparently video of her working with that gator the same way in the past as part of the job. We actually have been to that park before and they didn't do the show with him that day because he's old and has health issues so they are easy going with him. I imagine he's not particularly fast or aggressive anymore
*ETA: the snake part of the park is the best part, IMHO

The snake area is indoors and they have all sorts of them including huge constrictors.
