Had my first beer in a restaurant or bar there in 1989, with a Cheeseburger in Paradise, extra jalapenos. I don't think they even IDed me (i was 15).

Saw some fun shows there over the years. Don't remember much about them. I seem to remember a lot or metal and a lot of pool upstairs.

I know some fricked up shite happened in that parking lot. I'll have to do some transcendental meditation to remember any of it.

Sorry no real CSBs yet.

Foghorn leghorn sammich. My best friend’s band played there quite a bit in the mid 90’s. My Friend Jose. Their guitar player was legit. Miss that place.

Clutch as frick. I have a friend about 10 years my senior who always dogged it and literally would never come with us. Finally took him solo and in the back bar we were door to door with success inside of an hour. He dropped myself and my new lady friend off and was texting 5 Min later, “It’s like this often man?”

LOL. Good times man. Good times.

They had a stripper pole on the dance floor. It was pretty famous for trashy easy women back in the day.

Tduecen representing st amant strong with the addavoy reference. Good times at the Caterie for sure, especially witnessing the Spank the Monkey groupies.

Also recall a few good brawls, the door guys were a hit.

Southdowns was always a sure thing.

I recall a patron who would clean the pole if said female would oblige. He was a nice fella.

Southdowns shopping center on the Balis side. It was converted into several restaurants that never made it. I think the last one was Table maybe?

shite how could I forget Spank the Monkey at the Caterie and Lazy K? Those two were the best local bands. Poor Spank the Monkey...so much talent but BR’s Music scene was and is so focused on cover bands. They were amazing but I think I may have heard them play a grand total of 2-maybe 3-original songs in literally a week or more’s worth of listening to them over the years...

I remember my go to was to always tell girls I didn’t believe they were in school at LSU. Had to figure out whether they wanted to be told they were younger or older than college aged. Made them pull their PAWS card.

Man...this thread is bringing back a ton of memories...
