Hmm- Caterie, Chris at the Vineyard. We have to have met at some point during that decade.

All about it. Loved that joint. A total shack but just a fantastic place. Those two were a perfect match for a back bayou dive like that.

Also had a an incredibly favorable male:female ratio.

Having to step over or around vomit in the stairwell to get upstairs.

Also, being able to hang out with the BR celebrity crowd and get smashed

I remember One Wants, but I was dating a silly bitch in 07. She wouldn't go to The Caterie.

Caterie on Tuesday Nights for Liquid Jelly Monkey Love and Liquid Sand. Played pool upstairs and enjoyed beers while looking down at the band and establishing a ranking and subsequent order of attack for the search and destroy missions with the ladies down below. Along with Southdowns, those two joints were GOAT to be able to wait until last call and then quickly identify and close with quality females. You could hang with your baws, hit the GC, strike out elsewhere or just eff off until late and then choose either/or and stop off to pull trim. Like clockwork. Southdowns probably has the edge once I got a little older (it did have a stripper pole built into the bar and the dance floor after all), but the collegiennes loved them some Caterie when I was at LSU.

Could not have said it better myself.

Do I know you? Did I take your $ in pool

97'-01' Catarie (and Southdowns among others) was one of my stomping grounds. Best experience (from what I remember) had to be Spank the Monkey playing one Friday $5 pitcher night and there being like 10-1 ratio of women to men. Joints were being passed around like shots. Braves were on the tube in the NLCS. The rest of the story is for insiders only
Good times.

Mountain High.

Would catch Amos Moses at The Tiger then head over to finish watching Liquid Jelley it vice versa.

Allison Collins before she became I'm a Who Dat.

Fun times.

Started going there with my girlfriend (now wife) during this time. It was more her joint than mine, but it was entertaining. There wasn't a time when we walked in there and didn't know someone...so it seemed. Seems like a lot of "our crew" co-mingled with the Rukus crew. Drink of choice was always Jager. Though I wasn't a huge fan, it was pretty cool watching Meriwether actually get pretty big there.
