2014 LTZ silverado crew cab in 2015 for $20,000 that had like 16,000 miles on the dash. Sold for 55-63K a year before.
Previous owner was moving for a job overseas, had to leave ASAP and the truck was too big for the roads there.

Never used it, Ebay or Amazon.
Good deal I got recently was a brand new Orange PPC412 guitar cab for $750. They got for $1000+ usually.

Bought a mountain bike for $300...
Decided the frame was too big so I put it up for $450....
Dude called up and said "I don't have cash but would you take a trade?"
"No, but out of curiosity what do you have?"
"Guns."
"I'll take a look." (
)
Dude said he used to hunt with his dad but doesnt hunt since moving to AZ. After running serials, I scored
-Savage bolt action .30-06 with scope, case, and 3 boxes of ammo
-Marlin .22 with scope and case, and 2,000 rounds
-Charles Daly automatic 12 ga shotgun with case
-500 shotgun shells
Sold the Charles Daly for $200, leaving me with the 30-06, .22, scopes, cases, and ammo for $100

I bought a flats boat for 18.5k. Was selling online everywhere for around 25-27k, but I'll admit I never haggled with those sellers, so who knows what the real price was. This was one of the only ones I didnt have to drive to Florida to get and randomly stumbled upon it. I sold it 3 years later for 23k. They say the happiest days of owning a boat are the day you buy and the day you sell. They weren't wrong.

Bought a Warn trans4mer winch bumper, winch tray, and brush guards with a Warn 9000# winch for $350. Fits a 07-13 Chevy 1500. Probably $2K new for winch and bumper.
Wouldn’t fit my 08 2500, so kept the winch. Selling the trans4mer for $550.
Bought a Buckstop hidden winch bumper for $500 (new is $2K).
So I’ll have $300 dollars invested in a $3000 winch and bumper.
My luck usually doesn’t turn out this well. Lol

Bought a $1200 commercial meat grinder from a dude that had processed one deer with it. Thing was in pristine shape. He asked $100 bucks for it. Said his dad gave it to him as a present but he didnt use it. I am sure his dad was pissed when he found out what he sold it for. Lol.

My Craigslist peeps think their 10 year old table saw is worth the same thing as a brand new one. Or they can work with you and knock $50 off.

Bought a bass rig from a guy who toured with Dolly For 1k on a Friday and sold it for 3k on Sunday. Music gear Craigslist flips in Nashville are ducks on a pond

How do you ‘run serials’ on guns?

50 bucks for a 1984 ATC 70 Honda 3 wheeler. Oil looks like tar so I refuse to change it and it still runs great.

Local law enforcement will usually run numbers to make sure they weren’t reported stolen

In the early days of eBay (before AutoCorrect) I would search for misspelled listings and snatch up stuff for nothing, since the items weren't showing up in the normal searches.

In 2014 a coworker bought a 2003 GMC Yukon for something like $2500. It was mint condition with barely 10K miles on it.
