Atlanta is the best - incredibly efficient for its size, and you can take the MARTA right into it from the north part of the city, despite how people bitch about its accessibility.
Worst I've experienced domestically are probably LAX, Newark and O'Hare, in that order. Worst ever was De Gaulle in Paris. That airport needs to be razed.

Charlotte CLT is my least favorite big airport. Crowded concourses, no people mover, E terminal is a level of hell.
Charlotte is pleasant unless you are coming in through E.

Philadelphia is the worst. Where my ID is checked by a woman (?) in a burka. How does this make sense? Does anyone remember why we have to go through security? Death to Infidels…..remember?

Aside from its gargantuan existence, ATL is run really well.
Underrated big airports:
BWI - I've probably flown in and out over a dozen times, I've yet to experience a heavy crowd or a major delay
Detroit / Wayne. Have not been through there in a while, but back when it was a Northwest hub, it operated pretty well. The Tram running through the terminal was cool, and it had some of the best shopping choices...like you could buy a dress shirt out of the terminal
Sky Harbor (Phoenix) - Always clean and the concourse are well thought out in terms of connections, etc.
BAD: Newark: Old, smells, always under renovation creating long lines at the TSA choke points even early afternoon on Saturday ( best time to fly)
LAX, Miami, Charlotte, IAH ( twice had planes get stuck in the grass infield taxiing at slow speeds near the gate. Logan and O'Hara.
Int'l
Bad: Rome, Paris (DeGaulle), Athens (worst), Buenos Aires and Mexico City.
Best: Tokyo, Singapore, Melbourne, Frankfurt and Stockholm( tie with Toyota for running the best)

The new terminal that delta flys into there is like a mile walk from security. It’s crazy.
The new delta lounge they have is really nice though

Best for connecting: DEN, ATL.
Best endpoint. SLC, PHX. A whole lot of small regionals are nice and easy.
Worst: LAX, Newark, IAH, PHL

You wouldn't have been if you saw what came before it. It was exactly what you would expect from the Ruins of Detroit. We used to refer to it as Pyongyang International. It may have been the worst major airport in N America Ever. Abysmal beyond description. Hot and humid inside 24/7/365. A McDonald's and something completely inedible were your only two restaurant options on the non-NWA side. NWA's terminal was not much bette
somehow this just feels like a 70s movie vibe. i can smell the cigarette smoke.

I've only flown in and out once, but my experience at SeaTac was absolutely terrible. but they had an Amex Centurion lounge, so that was sweet.

Best I've flown from SeaTac...it's got the best lounges, a lot going on at late hours, and good layout
Worst I've been through was Las Vegas...degenerate gamblers on the electronic slots, and bland feel overall

DFW because inevitably my return flight puts me at the terminal at the arse end of whichever one I departed from. And then I still have to deal with that stupid toll to get out.
After a long work trip I just want to leave and it’s like DFW just won’t let me GTFO

You really can't say it enough. It makes bad look good...it's really beyond horrible.

Miami International is pretty damn awful. Like a 3rd world country, honestly.

I’m at CLT now and couldn’t disagree more. The Skyclub is nice, the workers are friendly, and the rental car service is easy to get to

Memphis
Have you been to Memphis lately? Its awesome since the remodel. It used to be a cluster...old and crowded. But not now. It's damn good. I fly out of it all the time. Parking is easy. TSA moves relatively fast and it's lightning fast if you don't go in the 6am window for outbound flights. Several good food options.
