Even if they avoid the eye wall, there’s a significant onshore flow in the general direction of Kingston, which should result in surge issues there.

For anyone doubting alphaandomega and Here to Serve, he/they are legit. He's been providing updates of their work here over the past few years. They've helped after tornadoes and storms that we've covered extensively in our severe weather threads. He's always looking for tips on where they can set up.

Donating to these type groups will always, in my opinion, be a better choice than giving to the bloated national/international disaster relief groups. These are the type people/organizations that hang around long after public interest has waned and the news cameras have left.

Highest wind gust at Kingston Airport (right on the coast) has been clocked at 47MPH. There is likely going to be some big problems as the mountains catch the rain and send it down rivers.

While powerful, this is a very small storm in diameter of hurricane force winds.

Yep, flash flooding and landslides are going to be the biggest threat for most of the island. With this track the higher terrain is where the worst winds will be.

Sure looks like friction with land caused it to be pulled north

Bookmarked, thank you. The list of who I will donate to is short, but this seems worthy for obvious reasons. Appreciate the work you do.

I wonder how the windward islands handled that second round of rain just two days later.

Thank you

If you are in Lake Charles (like it says below your avatar).we setup at the Cowboy Church on Tom Hebert Road. Things have come a long way since then. We were just getting started then, I think we had 2 small enclosed trailers and one of our members tailgate trailer. We have since added a 30' mobile kitchen and a 28' supply trailer with smoker on it. Plus a sleeping camper and a dry goods trailer. We can easily handle 1200-1300 meals a day.

That looks more like a borderline Cat 1 on IR not a Cat 4. Doesn’t even have a distinct eye
