Checking in from Miami Beach... Even though the storm is tracking a little south, the wife thanked me last night for making the right decision and making sure we were safe. Plus we still have 5 nights to use at any sandals resort in the next year, so she gets two honeymoons out of it and still got to experience Jamaica for two days.

Ouroboros. Charging an EV with an ICE.

Jesus, boxcar...let's have some sympathy here for what he's been through.

I mean, at least start with asking for pics of the wife, and THEN we can move on to the other bits...

Ah, the honey moon phase.

It will fade away quicker than anything you ever seen.

That's between the wife and me (and the lady cleaning the sheets)

And even though we've only been married for 3 days, it's been a fun two years together.. i've moved her 4 times, went through a tornado in our home and evacuated a hurricane from a Caribbean island. If we can manage that I feel good about our future.

that was the same for my wife and I - together for 3 years, and every time we started t get married, something would happen and we would have to postpone. on 3rd try, the day of our wedding, there was a hurricane supposed to come in around Mobile while we had an outdoor wedding.

we had to cancel the dinner cruise reception, and have the catering moved to the Gardens. wedding had to be moved indoors instead of where we planned - and the bridal party had to get ready in the public restrooms. about 3/4 of the people invited did not come because of the potential hurricane.

music for the wedding did not work, the sound system we improvised flaked out. after all of that, the hurricane stalled in the gulf and ended up not coming ashore.

we joked then and now - if we could survive that, her mom passing 2 weeks before the wedding date and her not being able to try on her dress until 4 days before the wedding (also delayed because it was shipped from England, and the day it was supposed to arrive intown is when the Cargo plane crashed at the BHM airport - so we thought it was lost), a Hurricane (cat 3 at the time) supposed to hit same day - we can survive anything.

workign on year 11 now :) Goodluck to you both GeauxOn

What do you guys think this looks like for rest of hurricane season? I'm no weather expert but seeing a major hurricane not even in peak season seems a bit excessive. I know you can't really predict climate in 2 months but seems like a potentially bad omen for east coast and gulf coast maybe even Texas.

not real sure there is really any way to know - it is possible Mother Nature blew her proverbial Load with Beryl, and while we may see others (likely) - they may not be that bad.

im no weather expert, but i think we see quite a few storms this year - just hopefully none are that bad and we get a lot of fish storms.

Is there any probability maps where the think the most hurricanes will form? Central America storms that come off seem to always want to hit Gulf Coast. Just curious at what they're projecting where the most storms will form and where they have probabilities on landfall. I know it's accurate still interesting to see.
