Only people who have not grown up with this. I am surfing the OT trying to decide whether I should go cut the grass before the rain makes it grow more.

Houston people ain’t doing shite for this. Houston folks don’t even talk about storms or older storms it’s almost odd. Even recently, I get on a plane to New Orleans I hear some yat telling a Katrina story about his BILs and then what happened to his SILs lol and I’m not saying one is better than the other it’s just the personalities

Buy milk, Clorox, bread, and toilet paper of course.

Scrambling was probably not the right word. As the Boat alluded to, half of Houston is not from around here and will get fear mongered by next door and Facebook. They don’t know the wisdom of the OT thread.

Houston may have to deal with flooding. It’s an issue there.

Prepare for multiple days without power.

It's more than just rain now. This is the NWS hourly point forecast for where I live in spring branch. Note the wind gusts.

Careful, OJ. The OT doesn't believe in preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

Rosenberg checking in. Same. My fence was $4,800 last summer. I feel better about it now than i would have with those match sticks I had up before.

25-35mph with higher gusts, yeah I'd be changing through ORD, IAD, or EWR. United has the waiver up for South Texas until 7/9, any flight he wants he can switch to
