I was a black boy at LSU back in the day. Things were real hard on me, especially my roommate Juan.

actually most of those posts are pretty reasonable. I noticed that moron chick from the Daily Reveille (that tried to make an issue about a wire in one of the trees) was there of course.

Fall 2015 Undergraduate Statistics
Total Undergraduate enrollment - 26,159
Total African American undergraduate enrollment - 3,156
or about 12%

Graduation rate is at an all-time high as well. Good thing all those white professors are teaching them a thing or two, leading to their gdamn fricking graduation.

I believe LSU has an Office of Multicultural Affairs on campus, if I'm not mistaken. There's no office for white cultural affairs on campus. Being black at LSU is so fricking hard...

Good god...

I know a white dude that works in maintenance at LSU, complete douche. I know it's not really related, just wanted to contribute.

Nothing is ever their fault.

They actually think every single injustice or inequality is solely due to skin color and nothing else.

That mindset running rampant through that culture is why most (not all) of them are the way they are.

Hmm this link shows 11% of the student population is AA and nationally they make up around 12% not seeing the issue

Well, to be exact and fair you just look at Louisiana, really. It is a state school. Blacks make up 30% of Louisiana's population.

Nonetheless, I think LSU has a pretty good diversity profile.

Yeah, LSU is pretty good on the diversity spectrum.

Do these people not understand how qualifications work? Or do they just want black people in positions regardless of if they are qualified for it or not? Ok let's be honest it's probably the latter.

There is a historically black university in BR. I believe they might be taking some of the black students that would otherwise go to LSU.

Yeah, these people are getting ridiculous. There are only so many black people to go around, especially those that can/want to go to college.

So blacks make up around what 16% of the population of this country and make up 12% enrollment at a University in the same city as an historically black college? Hmmmm

I feel like blacks don't want equality or equal opportunities, they want equity and equal outcomes.
