I'm 6'3"

Pros: women like tall men, I can reach stuff

Cons: it's harder to do squats, my legs will always look skinnier than short guys

If you are in a gun fight being tall is not an advantage

5'11" or 6' is probably the perfect height. I'm 5'9".

I've learned to hide my candy way up high as well.

not sure i believe this. I have two friends that are 6'5" and I've never seen anyone stop to get their picture with them. I doubt 2" is the difference in normal life and paparazzi at the mall.

Besides athletes, I probably know more wealthy short people.

6' is probably perfect............I'm 5'11.5" .

I have never been all that self conscious about not being taller, but it really does suck to not be able to say I'm 6'

I'm 5'8", so that's just shorter than average, and I have to tell you, the world is built to fit me.

Cars.
Counters.
Shelves.
Airplane seats.
Clothing

Everything fits. So that's an advantage of not bring tall.

In a life or death situation, my low profile may also save my life.

The main disadvantage of being short is that many women have a bias against men under 5'10". That's about it, though.

I wouldn't trade being short for being tall for anything, really.

I've read lots of comments that being tall is a con when vehicle shopping. I'm a hair under 6'-5" and I think the opposite is true. I can automatically eliminate about 2/3rds of the vehicles on the market because they would be a pain in the arse to get in and out of and/or drive every day. It streamlines the process!

My sister, who is closer to 6'-0 than 5'-11", has a BMW I-8. Beautiful car and it runs like a scalded cat. I got in and out of that thing a grand total of one time and that was enough for me. I don't care how fast it is or cool it looks, it's not for me. (Not that I can afford one!)

Of course she's probably about 130 and I'm 295, so that impacts access and egress as much, if not more than height does.
