Beachdude, sent you an email.
It’s never too late to start, and starting is the hardest part.

We took pictures on Christmas Day 2022 and when I looked at them I was so disappointed in myself and how I looked. After a few days of self pity I got my arse in gear and did something about it. I gave up sugary drinks, went sugar free and low carb. I started walking some, not every day. I drank lots of water, sometimes added electrolytes to keep the sugar withdrawal headaches away and surprisingly it worked. The weight came off little by little and by July 2023 I was down 40 lbs. A year later I’m still down 40 lbs (well, it varies between 40-45 lbs). I started when I was 54, I’m now 55. I wish I’d done this 20 years ago.

I didn’t take any meds because I was scared that I would use it as a crutch. I would still like to lose about 10-15 more lbs but I think I have gotten a little comfortable where I’m at right now. I actually have a prescription for Zepbound at my pharmacy but I haven’t filled it because insurance won’t cover it and I can’t pay full price.

Anyway, just wanted to come in and give you a high 5 and give you some encouragement! You can do this! I’m certainly not an expert, just gave it the old college try. If Ozempic or any of the other meds can jump start you on your journey, use it. Just teach yourself great eating habits while you’re on it and learn what works best for you. And of course get a little exercise, just start slow, anything is better than nothing.

We drove up from Loveland for the day 2 summers ago to see the air show at the Air Force Academy. Ate at Sanford’s, it was good, kids enjoyed it. We shopped a little, but really, not a lot going on in Cheyenne.

I always watch the auditions but not always the remainder of the show. It depends on how invested I feel with some of the contestants. So far, I like the Nepal guy, curious how far he gets. I really like Julia from this past episode; the girl who sang Growing Pains, awesome! The girl who was an addict, really good. The soulful LA boy. Those are a few that stuck out to me.
I’m a big fan of Outlander but as the story line goes on I find I roll my eyes more and more. I really miss Season 1 in Scotland. But of course I’ll keep watching.

I’ve only read the first 1/2 of the book that this season is based on (book is long and boring so far) so this will be the first time I’ve watched without knowing what’s coming up. And in some ways it’s good because Murtaugh is not even supposed to be alive, where will his story go? Who knows.
I bought one 3 weeks ago. It’s the 2nd one for us. It’s very nice!
I really enjoyed it. It made me miss BB tho.
Many prayers for success and quick recovery!
Slide a little further southeast into Clear Lake.
No to living in Pasadena. Yes to Clear Lake, Pearland, Friendswood and League City. Short commute from any of those. Clear Lake will be the closest option. Good area.
I love Outlander. But S1 was the best one to me. I loved Scotland. S2 in France was Meh. Liked 3 and liked 4. But I also read the books.
If she’s working at the Space Center, I’d have her live around there at first. Let her get her bearings, this is a huge city. If she has friends inside the loop, she can stay with them on weekends and do the fun night life. Sign a short lease, let her get adjusted to work and the area first. When she learns her way around, then she can decide where she really wants to be. League City, Friendswood and Clear Lake are all good. Kemah would be fine.

I just protested my taxes yesterday in Galveston Co and won. The comps they pulled were outside my neighborhood. I had a real estate agent pull the comps sold last year IN my neighborhood and there was quite a spread between their “indicated” value (based on their comps) and the actual price per sq ft value of properties sold in my neighborhood. It took 3 seconds for the panel to determine that the comps pulled by the assessor and actual sales values were way off. They didn’t even look at the other supporting info or pictures I brought.
Just now watching Sean's episode. How completely heartbreaking. I think this is the only episode that I've felt this sorry for the patient. :wah:
Holy shite. The images in my mind are horrifying.
OMG someone married him?!?! I tuned in late tonight.
