For the past decade, photographer Mitch Dobrowner has spent a few weeks every summer pursuing extreme weather across the midwestern United States with veteran storm chaser Roger Hill, who, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, has witnessed more tornadoes (more than 650) than anyone in history.

I’ve always been wary of the Great Plains. This is confirmation bias

Those are pretty ominous. Especially the last two.

Just a rotating cell but amazing how you can see the rotation and all the precip it's dumping in the downdraft behind it. Perfect shot of a supercell in action.

Those storms look amazing. It's also crazy how absolutley flat the land is out there. You can see forever in a clear day.

I opened this thread expecting pics of Stormy Daniels. I was pleasantly surprised that I was wrong.

Badass pics.

Now, looking at the mass and power represented here, how can one think that man has any control over that? Mother Nature sees us as nothing more than fleas.

Just yesterday there was a snow band in Nebraska due to the steam put off by some power plants.

Don't mean to say we have any real control over weather but our activities can have some impact.
