Beach Tip for the Aging OT

Beach threads have been hot recently, so I wanted to throw you older folks a bone so you don't look out of style.
Tip 1: Leave the PFG swim shorts at home. Those are what kids wear to school now with socks and sandals.
Tip 2: Dig out your swim suit from spring break '88 if it still fits. Hot pink, baby blue and safety yellow or orange are back.
It looks like Club La Vela in it's hay day on the beach now. Has anyone who has been recently noticed this?
This is a pretty decent representation of what young adults are wearing again...
Perhaps society is healing. I approve.

I pulled out a pair of 10 year old trunks the other day, and the elastic had dry rotted.

My sister's boyfriend found his and gave them to my son.
Of course I was a PFG guy, so I went to junk circuit (Alvin's Island, Surf Style, etc.) and came back with a pair of these bad boys on day 2.

Ive never worn Chubbies, but I did switch to this type of suit with the internal biker shorts. I thought it would do a better job than mesh liners of keeping everything in place, but in my experience it’s worse.
Son I am disappoint.
