frick the chair nazi's.
According to baldona, the beaches are all private and they do in fact own the beach.

Someone owns the beach you dumb frick. This may shock you, but most beaches are private property.
This is false. No one owns the beach below the high water line, period.

For Florida it's usually up to the Mean High Water Line. The beach below that is state property and public.
Correct. Which is not where the beach service chair companies set up.
It also doesn't apply anywhere the government doesn't want it to apply, such as state parks and federal land.
But again, especially in the Florida Panhandle and other areas like Miami, if there's a beach service company they are fairly strictly regulated on where they can and can not set up.
The contracts to set up on "public" beach areas are very lucrative to the government and the beach service companies.:
quote:
WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – For the last six years Walton County public beaches have operated under a Managed Beach Vendor Program.
Three years ago, the county took ownership of the program from the Tourist Development Council. In that time, it’s generated a total of just over $1.1 million in revenue for the county.
On Tuesday, county commissioners awarded a two-year contract to Coastal Parasail for just over $1.5 million a year.

No one? The government owns it. Just like I said.
You know who shut it down during Covid? You couldn't go into the water? The government.
You know who gives out contracts for the "public" beaches? The government.
You know who shuts down beaches at night? The government.
My point is that this entire idea you can do whatever the frick you want on the "beach" is a laughably ignorant idea. Its either private property or government property.

Pro tip: Go past the Pensacola/Navarre/Ft Walton/Destin/30A area to Mexico Beach, St George, Clearwater, Siesta Key or better yet...Sanibel or Captiva Island.

The straw man like your original post that "chair companies own the beach"? That straw man?

Extremely dumb posters in this thread. At least 3 or four would rather be working in an office than on a beach vacation. And you wonder why we have all this weird shite happen in our country. These people need to be identified and put on some sort of domestic terrorist watch list.
So you people would rather work for a week in god forsaken baton rouge than be in destin/orange beach for a week. Get the f outta here

Nothing is wrong with him. The beach sucks. I'd rather be in a tent on the mountain or in my boat looking at the beach.
