BCBS declining payment because of "other insurance"

Been with these people for 20 years,never missed a payment.
Received a bill in the mail from my primary care physician showing that I paid my co pay and at the bottom it shows "declined because patient has other insurance"
Has this happened to anyone else? I do not and have never had any other insurance. If I did BCBS would definitely not be getting payments from me.
Updated : It was a COB issue.

Just call BCBS. It’s just a simple billing error.

Every year you need to go in your account on website and recertify you do not have other insurance. If you dont they assume you do and this will happen to you.

It’s not any of this, relax. Call them and they will fix it. Other insurance is a clause in every insurance policy to prevent people from profiting from insurance. There was simply a mixup.

My State Farm auto insurance has never done this to me. This is infuriating that BCBS puts the onus on its customers to do this and automatically assumes so they can keep their money a little longer.

Does your husband have different insurance ?
I remember something where if you have an opportunity to be on your spouses insurance you have to show a reason for waiving it.
