Bayou Country Superfest returns to Baton Rouge in 2019: So long Superdome

LINK

Organizers of the Bayou Country Superfest announced on Thursday (Dec. 20) that the music festival will return to Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge for its 10th anniversary during Memorial Weekend 2019 (May 25 and 26).

The festival, which began in BR, was relocated to the air-conditioned comfort of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans for the past two years due to renovations at LSU’s outdoor football stadium. Bayou Country Superfest 2018 closed with a triumphant performance by superstar George Strait.

I've never gone to BCS. I really don't have any desire to go fight those crowds of people and associate myself with all those tattoos and sin.

There will be even more lifted pickup trucks in Baton Rouge that weekend than usual.

Good for LSU, the hotels, and restaurants in Baton Rouge.

Seems like memorial day is just too hot to have outdoor festivals in Louisiana.

With lyrics like that, you will be a country music mega-star in no time.

Congrats on the sex and money.

Visit Baton Rouge is putting up $350,000 to support the event, Arrigo said. The Louisiana Office of Tourism is also contributing $350,000, said Julio Guichard, communications director for the Office of Lieutenant Governor. And according to Rachel Haney, communications officer for the Mayor-President, the city-parish is offering a sales tax rebate for ticket sales.

I wonder when the video from Together Louisiana will come out against this.
