Yes. I have owned 5 German autos and thus far, repair costs are low. I've not owned Audi or Mercedes. Audi has classic styling.

Thinking of going Audi for my next car.
I've had three Audis (currently an S5) - really no headaches and if you can't afford any repairs, then you shouldn't buy the car.

Oil changes are expensive, 93 octane is a pita, but both my Benz and BMW are far superior to any other brand I’ve owned.

If you're running the same year as mine (2015) or anything prior to the change to the turbo from supercharger, get the AER stage 1 program.
You can thank me later. They so under-tuned the S5s it's almost criminal.

Had an Audi for awhile, never had an issue with it, but it was shite for re sale value so I’d never buy another one

S5 is a beautiful car. I considered it for a while. What kind of numbers are you getting at the crank with a stage 1?

Had a BMW 335i. The power in this car was great from the turbocharged engine. Great car except for maintenance cost are crazy. Oil changes not from the dealer were over $100. My car had run flats and it wore through tires pretty quickly at $1800 for set of 4. If you get a car make sure it’s under warranty cause one little thing leads to $2000 in repair costs.

BMWs get expensive to maintain when big ticket items break. That's for sure.

I love my ///M3. Minimal maintenance in the past 7 years.

Their Bikes are the same way, had 3, best ride ever, got 2 books, did my own work for the most part. Yes you will have to learn new skills and buy some special tools, makes you a more knowledgeable driver

I went Audi. One of the best cars I’ve ever bought. Do it.
Some maintenance but not until the 5 yr mark.

We bought a Porsche last year and they are well-made cars. We took one trip to the Smokies in it this fall and it was incredibly fun.
Did the Porsche Sport Driving School this summer in Birmingham and they will teach you how amazing a stock Porsche can be.

I have owned 5 bmws over the years. The initial 3 year depreciation is insane. After that you get great used deals. Had the manual v10 m5 back in the day. Wish I hadn’t sold it. Looking at a 911 now and m6. Always liked the Audi styling but I never really considered owning one.
Maintenance is just slightly more but for me the driver enjoyment is worth it. Have an old beat up tundra for my daily driver.

454. It's ridiculous. 121 HP bump with just an ECU reprogram and slight bump to the supercharger boost psi. Word on the street is that Audi undertuned my particular model of S5 because they didn't want it competing with the RS5 that still had the old V8.
