Yes, but I learned the hard way.
Due the healing, the body temperature increases. This means the balls dangle a bit lower than usual. You will sit on your balls if not careful.
Sitting required a different technique - cup and lift, then sit…gingerly.
Wearing a jock meant you just sit gingerly.

the day after our third child was delivered I had a vasectomy at one of the downtown NOLA hospitals 45 years ago. They turned my sack inside out and beat up my nuts. My mother in law was my driver and she hit every pothole and railroad track on the way home

Not sore at all. I limited my own movement more out of fear of ripping stitches than anything. I had to make a 10 hour drive a couple hours after surgery. My wife said she would drive but only lasted about 45 minutes before she was too tired. I drove rest of way. Wore boxer briefs like usual and iced it a bunch for first 12 hours.

Did the jock strap for the first 3 or 4 days, those days kinda sucked. Resumed “avtivity" one week after the procedure. I'm two and a half weeks out now. Still a little sore, but nothing worth having another kid over
