Baws see your doctors

I know this could go on Health board but please forgive me, I figured there's more traffic here.
I was having a weird burning sensation in my chest now and then for a couple of months. Not really bad enough to be called pain. But I mentioned it to my primary care physician who seemed concerned because the pain only occurred when I exerted myself. He set up a stress test that I almost blew off. Stress test showed abnormality, cardiologist scheduled a heart catheterization and from there I was taken directly into the hospital for open heart bypass surgery.
Besides a high cholesterol level that has been controlled for the past several years there were no other signs. So baws, see your doctor anytime something seems off. My doctor said if I'd waited one more week I wouldn't be here. Now I'm looking forward to many healthy years in the future.

I'm in my 50s and I don't recall the number for my BMI but it was in the overweight category but nowhere near obese.
If I had started watching my weight and cholesterol levels better when I was in my 30s I maybe could have avoided this. Doctors say my high cholesterol is genetic but I'm sure there's still things that can be done to control it.

How about taking care of your body and tell dr’s to frick off while saving your money. Improve your diet and lifestyle. Or live a shortened but happy and unhealthy life.
