My 2017 F250 has a system where you steer the trailer the way you want it to go with a joystick and the computers steer the truck the way it needs to go to make that happen. Bad arse system for backing up a trailer.

I don't have a backup camera in my 4Runner, and when I'm in my wife's car I struggle using the camera. I guess it's because I'm not used to it, but backing up without a camera is easier to me.

Back-up camera is used to back up to the trailer not back up the trailer.

I was being a smartass because he couldn't spell trailer. My truck doesn't have backup cam but it seems like they would be useless when backing up a "trailor" as OP put it. I've rented vehicles with the grid superimposed on the video and it got me all screwed up. I think they're good for those last few feet when backing in but that's about it.

Backup cams have nothing to do with backing up a trailer unless you like staring at a hitch while you're trying to go backwards.
They are, however, a much better option than backing up until you hit your license plate when you're hooking up.
