It’s always the Three G’s that get Pastors.
Girls
Gold
Or Glory (aka Pride)

How many have fallen to Women,
Greed of Money or the Pride of Life where they hear nothing but themselves.

That is my friend Art Harris, who worked for The Washington Post and CNN, on the back of the Special Edition Penthouse magazine. I still have it.

Sadly, I found out Art passed away last year.

They reach the entire world. It’s very impressive. I think I heard somewhere that they need $4 million a month in offerings and givings from people who attend and people who watch and are fed from their ministry to keep their operation going and they get it.

Obviously this page will not understand but Jimmy Swaggart has continued to spread the gospel around the world the past 40 years.

His television ministry has its own network and channel. It has a huge reach and makes monthly efforts to get bibles out across the world.

Jimmy could have done a lot of things in life. He was a better musician than either of his cousins. He could have made millions on a different path. Instead, he chose to serve the Lord.

His faults made him subject to ridicule but His work for the Lord has proven to last. He could have slinked away, lost faith and been a tragedy.

Instead, the Lord continued to use him and the ministry to touch millions of lives through preaching the message of the Cross.

There is no doubt the Lord has a great reward for Bro. Swaggart. He ran the race with great faith. He gave everything he had. Wish nothing but good things for him and that family.

I’ll just share my story. I was not raised a Christian. Did not grow up knowing Jesus at all but was sort of at a stage in my life where I was interested in Christianity and starting to try to lean about it. When I was going to LSU as we all know living in Baton Rouge you spend a lot of time sitting in traffic. I would flip around on the radio back then and I would find myself on Son Life Radio often. Listen to the music and then Jimmy and some of the other guys would preach. Very entertaining preaching style that would make you want to listen. So over the years, sitting in traffic, listening to his radio station, it slowly did a work in my soul. I honesty don’t think I would have had the courage to have my first kid without the love and peace of Christ that listening to Jimmy Swaggart’s radio station built up in me.

You can make fun of Jimmy swaggart or hate him for his faults. And I think he did harm Christianity in a way because of his faults and that is legitimate to point out. But I honestly love the man. He’ll never meet me and he honestly changed my life. And I am just one guy. I am sure there are literally hundreds of thousands or millions of people with a similar experience as I had. He is a great man and a soldier of Christ.

The man was unfaithful to his wife on multiple occasions. That is unforgivable and I refuse to take any of his preaching seriously since he is a hypocrite. I find role models in other places.

How many times have you sinned? It's amazing you think you deserve mercy but others not.

Jimmy don't need me to defend him but one mistake and you throw a man's life away.

Some of you should get on your knees and thank God every night he doesn't treat you how you treat others.

He violated one of the ten commandments MULTIPLE times. He was only remorseful because he got caught.

Here’s a little news for you. All preachers sin. All priests sin. All of your role models sin.

I try to be like my father. He wasn't perfect, but he didn't cheat on my mom. He was a hard worker who was kind to others. He lived life the right way.

Yeah, he sinned. But it was minor shite like calling other drivers "cock sucker" when they cut him off in traffic.

You're insane to judge a man's heart and intention.

Lord says you'll know them by their fruit. Well, buddy, more people have come to know Jesus through Jimmy Swaggart and Billy Graham then just about any other preachers in the world.

And to doubt his impact would have to be willfully blind. Those 80s crusades, tv ministry and the modern television network is massive impact for Jesus.

Going to bed. God bless and be well.
