There's no point. When you mention they act just like leftists, their heads explode and they can't reason. Every response ends up just insults and strawmen.

The library currently has no tax on the books. Only if their tax passes in November will they see any funds. Meanwhile, Hiller tried to pass a tax to fund the DA’s office and it failed. BRa doesn’t like paying any taxes.

Baton Rouge doesn’t like general tax increases; dedicated taxes actually normally do ok. Hillar’s tax got sunk because Democrats turned on it at the last minute over some stupid ICE or national guard nonsense. I honestly can’t remember which at this point. But there was some serious grassroots/astroturfed social media frenzy over it, and then I never heard a peep about it again after the election.

There's already an effort for this, homo.. are you one of the 10 signatures they obtained in the first month on the way to 50,000?

While I wasn't impressed with his performance at the press conference last week, demanding a recall is a bit of a stretch.
He was saddled with a colossal mess right from the start that had no chance of being a quick fix.
But.....This event has angered the public to the point that they'll likely get behind more "proactive" policing and get more of these miscreants off the streets and behind bars. More support at the state level is coming. The time to act is now. Strike while the iron is hot and bring the fight to them. I believe they will.

Yeah I was stunned that Hiller’s tax didn’t pass too, bc I never saw anything come out against it. Guess I missed the social media stuff. Everything on tv and in the paper was positive.

Meanwhile I hope the library tax passes. They provide a great service.

What kind of special retarded dimwit are you? It's just the opposite moron. Liberals like Joshjm and you act like murders and attempted murders spreading into white areas of town are no big deal cause y'all are both scared of being called racists about it.

You should probably spend less time on the internet and consider speaking to a professional.

And you should probably answer the question, nitwit. Can't even make an effort to argue that only leftists are worried about Hoodrats encroaching into white areas and shooting to kill??

I'm done arguing with you fools. You've made it clear you think there's no cause for alarm that traditionally safe areas are now turning into potential death traps. Including the Mall Food Court.

Frick him too. He's a slimy cock sucker and a career politician, part of the good ole boy network that has kept Louisiana down for decades.

They are getting what they want, why would they come here and admit it, unless it is to spike the football....

You don't like "progress"? That makes you a racist, somehow.

People are sick of taxes. Any new tax or renewal is going to be hard to get passed. It is a NO from me moving forward.

Most know that taxpayers in EBR are taxed enough and the tax receipts need to be reallocated so that vital things get done first.

For example when public safety is underfunded, but we are running surpluses in libraries and parks then something is wrong. When COA asked for tax help they received millions more per year than they requested; yet this was never adjusted.

We pass every single renewal every election It’s why EBRPSS takes 1/3rd of my property tax bill.

I genuinely hope people are sick of taxes and get out and vote against the Library & COA tax.

Can't wait to watch you squirm and argue it's not happening to the extent I'm claiming.

They just wait for a Saturday in the fall when everyone is distracted and get any tax they want passed. Elected officials have openly admitted this for years.

Again, no one is ok with this. The point of disagreement is whether it’s actually happening to the extent you claim it is.
