The old Chi Chi's building, next to where Fun Fair Park used to be. Had about ten different names. Complete trash mecca.
Fx and the Zone were two. And not everyone was trash there. We didn't have alot of options in 96 for a club environment. But yea it was full of the elements.
had fun times in early 20s. I saw Stevie B and Kyper there. Great show. Tried all week to win free tix on radio.

My wife has never tasted the awesomeness that is their pizza. We went to the LSU vs Western Kentucky game, and I had every intention of taking her by there. Sadly, because of the awful weather, we just elected to go home. I will take her there one of these days, to have delicious pizza and draft beer in tiny little glasses.

I could comment on every item you posted. Are you from the Old Goodwood area?
Well I was in the Burger King parking lot when Randy drove his Malibu? Into the canal next to it.
And I bought beer across the street at the then 7-11 (original #13 Pak a Sak - before Mr. Penniman sold them) when John Peniger worked there.
And shrimp remoulade at the original Hawks Nest on Lobdell.
We had many bonfires on the levee below Gardere.

She is lucky imo. Their pizza is terrible

Phil's oyster bar on Government? I miss that joint.
From what I hear, you could find out any information there in the back room. From LSU to the state government inside information.

Hawks Nest is still there and a good lunch spot to drink.
Go to Hawks all the time. Big head is hilarious, and is still the most negative person in the world. Lol
I love their food. Simple menu.

What was the after hours club off airline by florida? Don't even think they had alcohol. Mikel, this ring a bell?
Club Fyre. They had a fire pit or a tiki torch or some shite out in the front burning. Tried to order alcohol and all they sold was water and juice. Lots of neon glowsticks.

Same one I mentioned. Off and on they had liquor license as it changed owners/names. One of them would stay open till 6 am and no place could serve booze after 2. There was another after hours joint in br before that. The Zoo in late 80s. Then Neo's in late 90s off Burbank(next to where the ebrso substation is now)
Yea I do recall one of them iterations had torches or some shite. Haha

Jay's Donuts, if it hasnt already been mentioned. Jay was a dick, but those donuts were the best.
I was flirting with his daughter for a few weeks circa 91. Called her way too late one summer night and hung up when he answered. The dude got my name and number from his daughter, looked me up in the phone book, saw my parents had a separate line, called it and bitched to my dad about me calling at 2 am. My dad was like um Okay.
We were fricking 15. Dude was a total dick.
