I knew the victim and he was my friend but he was absolutely a hot-headed little dude. The video demonstrated his personality pretty afttua) accurately. He picked the wrong mfer to mess with yesterday.
Sad but damn he could have minded his business.
Earlier in the day, He checked in on Facebook at a bar in Metairie all Happy and shite ready to watch the game. Smh.

My first thought at hearing a BR guy in his 40s was killed in the French quarter was I hope it wasn’t mikelbr so it’s interesting you knew him

you'll never see me punching anyone that's for sure. I'm a peaceful big ole boy. Russell was alone by this time and tangled with this dude over nothing. Not a girl, his kids, nothing. Dude probably looked at Russell wrong. All it takes/took when he's hammered.

Judging from the video he had ample opportunity to just walk away, had he done that odds are he’s at home with his kids tonight. Not to speak ill of the dead but that was a dumb move on his part.

Hopefully the truth of this situation comes to light soon. Russell was troubled but he wasn’t a piece of garbage as people are characterizing him. Hot headed? Sure, but that isn’t a death sentence in most places.
