I lol at men who are weak and allow themselves to be diagnosed and treated for depression, anxiety, PMS, etc. I swear, your generation is a generation of pussies. Suck it up and push through that weak shite. You don’t need medications.

Dr. Burl Eugene Forgey IV. Psychiatry Associates of Baton Rouge (225) 769-7575.
Great Doctor and Staff ! Been a patient for 18 years.
bluebonnet BVLD. Across from library.
You will get in very quickly at Psychiatry Associates, but it's because they don't take insurance. Very good Dr's though.

Why do you need a doctor to buy weed?

I am still trying to figure out how someone has an anxiety attack?
Did they not socialize enough at a young age?
What’s the trigger?
I can’t help but feel it must be terribly difficult for a person to function properly with anxiety attacks when at any moment something stressful can happen.

My suggestion is to ditch the pills and go find a psychologist who can do hypnosis to get you totally relaxed. Takes maybe 30-45 min. Record 5 or 6 sessions and replay when / if you become anxious in the future. Get headphones for playback.

Get new family physician. Tell story.
For long term solutions consider out of box changes.
Learn and do pranayama 15 minutes every day.
5 minutes in evening, imagine that there is only the Mind of the One divine mystery.
And that you are resting, floating in the One mystery.
Mystery is key.
You dont even know anything.
Vedic scripture says, whenever there is an Other, fear arises.
The way to beat that is presume one. No other.
Everything will be ripped off from you.
I guarantee.
The dude who dies with the most toys has nothing the day after he died.

For me it was not anything or situation that caused my panic attacks. My disorder started when I was otherwise extremely happy in my life and in top physical shape. I was just relaxing on my couch one night and my heart began to race and I felt like I was going to pass out. I could not calm down for about 2 hours. Then it started happening about 3 times a week out of the blue. I got on paxil and they stopped. A year later I got off paxil and now 10 years later they only occur once or twice a year but Ive learned how to deal with them.

I probably would ve thought the same before I had my first panic attack. For some its not about being a nervous ninny. Its a real mental disorder thats scary as shite. Some research thinks it may have to do with a problem with the brains oxygen level "sensor" for lack of a better word. The brain incorrectly thinks its being deprived of O2 and a panic attack happens. I dont know why SSRI would fix this disorder but it worked for me.

Cognitive behavior therapy is the first line of treatment in anxiety and panic attacks. Sometimes they persist and require medication.

"My generation"? I'm 50.
I would never wish panic disorder on anyone, but me and every other man who has dealt with panic attacks would lol while standing by watching you have just one.

Burl Forgey...I was anxious/depressed a decade ago (which is why I used to post here so much). He prescribed me lexapro and Klonopin...i am now on just 10 mg of Lex. I know friends who are on 40 mg of Prozac...one even at 80.

I’m hoping you’re a troll, but if you’re not you’re a fricking idiot.
You’re not “strong” because you don’t suffer from mental illness you fricking moron. You are just lucky. And with your mentality, I’m glad you’re lucky. Because if you weren’t, you probably would have offed yourself by now.
Smart people tend to suffer from mental health issues more. So I think you’re safe.

I have actually been weining off the Klonopin since moving because of fear of this.
And yes, I am anxious.
I get panick/anxiety attacks in routine traffic, public places, etc. it hinders my day to day life.
Klonopin has been the only of many anti anxiety (non benzo) meds I’ve tried that has worked.
Xanax gets me drunk.
Klonopin mellows me out for 8ish hours. Without the anger/pure retardasion that follows with Xanax.

I’d love this. I’ve yet to find one I trust. Especially to drop the cash for the sessions.

Can't you just ask your old psychiatrist to point you to a new one? They're highly networked and just a text or two should solve your problem.
