I lol at men who are weak and allow themselves to be diagnosed and treated for depression, anxiety, PMS, etc. I swear, your generation is a generation of pussies. Suck it up and push through that weak shite. You don’t need medications.
Hell yeah. I just take it out on my wife and kids

I probably would ve thought the same before I had my first panic attack. For some its not about being a nervous ninny. Its a real mental disorder thats scary as shite. Some research thinks it may have to do with a problem with the brains oxygen level "sensor" for lack of a better word. The brain incorrectly thinks its being deprived of O2 and a panic attack happens. I dont know why SSRI would fix this disorder but it worked for me.
I hear ya...it looks quite unpleasant.
I was just casting a net and seeing what fish I could catch.

"My generation"? I'm 50.
I would never wish panic disorder on anyone, but me and every other man who has dealt with panic attacks would lol while standing by watching you have just one.
Was just giving you shite. I hope you get it sorted out.

Since I’ve moved to the area I’ve tried to find an in network Psyciatrist to no avail. I mean 0 luck getting an appointment this next month.
I understand your frustration. My father has severe anxiety/depression. I spent hours on the phone calling different psychiatrist's office to try and get appointments for my father back in November. Some didn't have openings until MARCH. When we finally got an appointment with one...it was mid December(I was calling in early to mid November). In the meantime I had to take him to the ER once for a panic attack and then took him to a UPC (Urgent Psych Center) where we could see a psychiatrist until his real appointment.
I will never casually dismiss anxiety and panic attacks now in people after what I've been dealing with my father. It is very much real and those that think you can just "suck it up" or "get over it" have no idea.
I go with my father on a monthly basis now to his psychiatrist. We just went yesterday and his doctor adjusted and added meds. He is taking Zoloft, Buspar, and now effexor with xanax as needed. His anxiety is still bad though(although maybe not as bad as a couple months ago). He isn't very cooperative as well in doing basic stuff that will help him (eating when he needs to and trying to go for walks for exercise). Even when I try to remind him that he is overweight and diabetic and he needs to be doing those things anyway for his overall health. No matter how many times we try to tell him how these things will make a difference...he just won't do them. Tried suggesting a therapist...nope he says "talking ain't gonna fix my problems".
OP...I hope you are able to find the help you need. Mental health system is seriously lacking in our country. Anyone who says otherwise has never had to access it and should count themselves blessed.
