What a horrible thing to do to a little girl just trying to do her job. That’s awful.

If they were white it would have been in the headline.

Fruity drinks and well dones, not burnt steaks. You know ahead of time what the order will be and that half of it will be sent back. You also know that no matter how much effort you put into the service, you ain’t getting jack shite for your efforts.

Had a family order ribeyes at Sunday brunch once, complained it took too long, sent them all back said they weren't done enough, then said they were too done. Then wanted over a 100 dollars of apps and drinks comped for their troubles

Obviously this tactic works for them more times than not. Why don’t restaurants have some sort of standard like if you consume more than 25% of your food/drink you’re paying for the whole thing? If you’ve consumed less we’ll remake it but you’re still paying for item. I would have a quantifiable amount if it were my restaurant that way I was always consistent and couldn’t be accused of the r word.

And also just have an automatic gratuity of 18% if you’re a party of 6 or more and just be consistent about enforcing it.

There's ways to handle that.

The wife and I were at the one on Millerville a month or two ago when a group of something like 12 came in for what appeared to be a birthday celebration. Even though a group that large is not supposed to be allowed to be seated, they sat them all the way in the back (by themselves). This location hasn't been enforcing the mask policy either.

I hope JBE calls out the bitches who did this

He'll just add 2 more weeks onto the existing 1.5 restrictions and 3 more weeks of having to wear a mask for this kind of behavior.

If I had a restaurant that serves good steaks, I would have this printed on a sign and on the menu.

Let’s be real, it would be on every news channel, there would be protests, agitators would be flown in to stir up the locals, Talcum X would be here, with Gravy blubbering trying to get airtime. The chili’s and surrounding area would be looted and burned, they would demand “Black Lives Matter” be painted on the Mississippi Bridge...

But we all know if reality was reversed...that shite just doesn’t happen, Jussie.

Restaurants know the tactics, but it’s not worth fighting the battle

Who’s going to enforce it? The story in the op is about a bunch of women who attacked the host over state regulations. There is no way in hell you're going to find any restaurant willing to try and enforce that policy on a table of ratchets. It’s literally and figuratively not worth the fight. The only goal is to get them in and out in a timely fashion.

A lot of the black owned restaurants in Shreveport have a "you will pay for what you order policy" whether you eat it or not or like it or not.

What exactly was she enforcing? The only thing the police can do is ask the women to leave because the business doesn't want them there. The Governor's operating limits apply to businesses not the patrons

“I couldn’t believe they would do or act like that, and then I mean, grown women, to fight a 17-year-old child at her job, who’s trying to work to get her graduation things together so she can go off to college,” said Lorrain Byrd, the victim’s grandmother.

I worked at Chili's years ago but don't remember them ever using this term. Almost sounds like they are making some sort of a slur.
