Since xiden* was installed as residence in chief I have gone out of my way to avoid all stores, no matter who owns them.

According to them, you should avoid stores owned by whites, jews, asians, etc and instead find a store that is black-owned.

Do you consider Indian black?

If they provide better pricing and/or service, its fine.

Just because they are black?

I go out of my way to shop at an Asian grocery owned by a mixed race couple. The husband is European and the wife is African. I could care less what race they are but they stock the freshest vegetables in the area so I spend a bit more and drive a bit farther to shop there. As far as I can tell, I am Casper white when I look in the mirror.

I also like Soul Food so will shop out of my way to get vittles at a good Soul Food joint. Course I will do the same for a Comfort Food joint (white) or a Meat & 3 place (worker) because I grew up on that type of food.

Most blacks don't give a shite, which is why so many Asian businesses thrive in black neighborhoods.

We have some excellent local black owned businesses. They do well because they are well run.

Slight over reaction. It states consider supporting black owned business on Juneteenth day of celebration. you probably get mad at the weatherman when he says its gonna rain and it doesn't.

I appreciate when they publish these lists of black-owned businesses so I’ll know which ones to avoid

So you intentionally avoid a business just because someone decides to add it to this list?

They never said any of this. It's just you being sensitive and projecting.

Yeah it comes across as an apologetic "please buy here because slavery ended on this day" bad look.

No thanks. I’d rather support competent, convenient and safe places, whomever owns it.

This. The fence contractor I just hired is a black man who's been in business for 40 years. I chose him because of the quality of his work and he had the lowest bid. I didn't even know he was black until he came to my house.

The overreaction is the need for the city to put this message out. If they offer a good service, people will go.

I've never gone into a business and thought what the race of the owner might be and that deciding if I would buy something or not. Wtf that's just weird

This is pure BS I shop stores based on multiple things. I don’t give a damn what race the owner is, only that they have what I’m looking for at the best price.

There’s a bbq place in Shreveport I was the only white person. Saw the plates they were serving for 10 bucks I didn’t care who owned it and I was amazing food.

Do owners place a sign out on their shop like Jews in 1930's Germany?

BRAC is full of grifters and con artists holding Baton Rouge back. That’s the one thing they’ve been successful in accomplishing. Why do our roads suck in BR? BRAC saying not in my backyard or that will affect this business or that business. The steal from the poor and give to the rich or well connected.

Don’t support BRAC or anybody they support or who contributes to their organization! You’re being robbed in broad daylight,
