If you have been in one, you'd would know they have low end college dorm stuff and higher end furniture line with $3,000+ sofas, cabinets, etc.

unless bass pro finds a way to undercut online retailers its not in a good position. i guess they're gonna try to maximize profits until the 50+ crowd dies off

You do realize they bought their biggest competitor (Cabela’s) recently. Whose largest differentiating and competitive advantage was and is a huge catalog ordering business that was and is incredibly lucrative which they now own.
According to the National Retail Foundation they were the 2nd fastest growing retailer in the US in 2018. 200,000,000 people through the doors last year. $7.8 billion in revenue. Growth at a 94% rate during that timeframe.

I’m pretty sure he meant find a way for them to undercut IKEA’s online competition so that a brick and mortar in that location could be successful.
How often do people shop at bass pro though?
I only go there if academy doesn’t have a specific thing that I need.
paying significantly more for the same brands and products doesn’t appeal to me for some odd reason.

Bass Pro in Livingston does very well. In fact the only bricks and mortar stores that seem to be holding their own today are destination draws like that.
Most traditional department stores (Sears, Macy’s, JCPenny) are just getting eaten alive by online retailers today. Maybe Bass Pro can start taking some of the old Sears locations when they go bust.

As an individual location, Denham has seen so much business since opening that it will pay off it’s financing YEARS ahead of schedule.
