here weren't many kids who drank Surge and liked Pokémon IMO.

yea the surge seems a little off but i definitely remember it being a thing and drinking it. feel like code red was more of the era centric soda that i grew up with

I was never a Pokémon fan so that's probably why I'm off base but I identify Surge with Goldeneye and Mario Kart 64 and other 64/PS1 games

Why is Wheaux's post -4 downvoted. Do people here hate pogs or something.

Core Gen Y

Most everything people blame on "millennials" actually have more to do with Gen Z.

Core Gen Y.

We truly had it the greatest. Pre-9/11, pre-Facebook, video games and technology were awesome but we still rode bikes and explored the world on our own. The last generation that really knows what it was like to grow up in simpler times yet still had access to all the cool shite being made. Wouldn't trade it for any other period to grow up in.

Early to core gen y. I relate to both pigs and surge (they seemed to have been out around the same time iirc.

The chart is wrong at least for Gen X.

Jolt cola was enjoyed by teens in the mid-80s, so that's an early to core Gen X thing. No parent would feed their young child Jolt cola.

I'd imagine, technically according to this list, it's Early Gen Y. However, I had a shite ton of Transformers and share lots of qualities with Gen X. That's why I like the subcohort of "Xennial" for those on the threshold, like myself.

Late Gen X/Early Gen Y. Pogs kind of hit late into my childhood, but there were a couple of years where I dropped a good chunk of my allowance money on pogs and slammers.

I was always more of a baseball card kid, though.
