$80 is a little surprising. I thought it would be lower around $50

It is just that Saturday that general admission is that high.

That is for all day admission. It is $60 if you want to wait until 5 pm or later to go. And they are dicks at the door about the 5 pm. It was 4:59 last time we went and the guy would not let us in until exactly 5. If you are 65 and older, a student, or military you can get an additional $15 off your ticket. I still have my GCU id from when I did classes online a couple years ago so may just use that (not like they even check the tickets anyways).

We went to the one in Vegas about 8 years ago. I was shocked they had some decent deals early on before the weekend started with the higher end vehicles. Of course the buyers premium offset that (think it was somewhere around 10%). Hope to make the Scottsdale auction one of these years.

The best car show I ever attended was Barrett-Jackson in Orange County. It’s the first and only time I’ve seen a Veyron in person. The Scottsdale show is supposed to be the best one.

It is the biggest of their 4 events. It almost seems like more of a spectacle now than a car auction

Thanks for the reminder Jones. Let's get an in-game thread going for this.

I watched a little of it today online. Plenty of the car memorabilia was sold today. The car lineup was all over the place but plenty of deals were to be had.

The docket is very impressive for the weekend

I'm curious to see how the money goes this weekend. Yeah, some nice cars going up. This should give everyone a good idea where the interest/market is. Helped a friend with a 65 vette purchase last Oct. He got it at a real good price and looks to be a real nice ride.

I mentioned the Mecum show to a buddy of mine a couple weeks back, I haven't heard back. I would like to check that one out even if he can't make it.

Square Body Chevy/GMC 4x4s are my weakness. Like the truck from the Fall Guy.

I'd put a Bocephus sticker on it and light 'em up just for fun.
