She's so fricking stupid and incompetent that when Hodges mentioned Shreveport voters being in favor Norton probably got scared because she hasn't spoken to any in decades and decided it wise to hedge her bets, just in case.

I was a Senate Aid when Hurricane Chris came to visit. Word started spreading around the floor that some freshman rep brought him in for a personal privilege. Laughed our asses off that day at how inappropriate it was. CSB I know.
I always say these elected officials represent their constituency. You can argue against term limits forever, but it just shows how stupid and off base some of these officials are. Absolutely nothing gets accomplished anymore and we'd rather spend time discussing countries who fund terrorism, confederate statues and a fancy school in nakatrash vs the operating budget of our state.

She is an idiot to the 3rd degree and I want to punch her every time she says "federal", but with that said, I think the threat of terrorism is overblown. When the other rep said something about what the Homeland Security guy said about "if you knew what I know, you wouldn't leave your house in the morning".
There are a lot of threats that we face every day. I don't understand the fear created around terrorism. We need to be aware and prepared, but I don't think we should live in fear thinking "when will it happen" because you have a better chance getting killed by quite a few things before terrorism.
But I want to repeat.. Barbara Norton is a fricking moron and there should be some law in place that prevents idiots like from becoming an elected official.

How has this thread gone three pages without a mention of her arguing the definition of the word shall in a bill she proposed? Truly one of the most ignorant things I've witnessed from a representative.
